The Soho takes its name from the London quarter whose restaurants, bars, theatres and late-night rooms have long relied on warm, low-level lighting to create atmosphere after dark. Its oversized G125 globe, amber-tinted glass and visible filament arrangement recall the decorative bulbs of early electric interiors, while modern LED technology provides a more efficient and longer-lasting source of light.

At 125 mm in diameter, this is a deliberately visible bulb rather than one intended to disappear beneath a shade. The amber glass softens the filament glow and gives the light a warm, honeyed character, particularly effective in exposed pendants, open chandeliers and simple wall fittings where the bulb forms part of the composition.

Producing up to 800 lumens from an 8 W LED source, the Soho combines decorative presence with practical illumination. Its familiar E27 Edison Screw base installs directly into compatible fittings, while dimmable operation allows the output to be lowered from useful ambient light to a softer evening glow when paired with a suitable LED dimmer.

Where it works best

The Soho is designed for open fittings in which the bulb remains visible. Its warm 2700 K colour temperature is particularly suited to drawing rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, entrance halls and hospitality-inspired interiors. The oversized globe works best where there is enough visual space around the fitting, allowing its rounded silhouette and internal filament structure to remain clear.

Suspended from a simple brass, bronze or blackened-metal pendant, the Soho becomes the fitting rather than merely its light source. The amber glass pairs naturally with walnut, oak, dark marble, raw plaster, aged brass and deep wall colours such as forest green, oxblood, charcoal and navy.

Used in multiples, the globe shape creates a measured rhythm above a dining table, kitchen island or long console. In a bedside pendant or open wall fitting, the dimmable output allows the light to move from practical evening illumination to a lower, softer glow without changing the visual character of the room.

Bulb compatibility

This bulb is designed for E27 Edison Screw fittings operating at 220-240 V. For dimming, use only with a compatible LED dimmer and a fitting rated for dimmable LED lamps. Check that the fitting provides sufficient clearance for the oversized G125 globe before installation.
