The Clerkenwell takes its name from the central London district whose workshops, warehouses and former printing houses helped define the character of British industrial interiors. Its elongated ST64 silhouette recalls the early carbon-filament lamps of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, while modern LED technology provides the efficiency, longevity and dependable performance required for contemporary residential lighting.

Each bulb is formed from warm amber glass with a visible LED filament arrangement inside. When illuminated, the tinted envelope softens the light into a rich 2700 K glow, bringing warmth to exposed-bulb fittings without the excessive heat or energy consumption associated with traditional incandescent lamps. Use them above a kitchen island in a pair of glass pendants, within wall lights on either side of a fireplace, or in matching bedside lamps where their dimmable output allows the room to move from practical illumination to a softer evening atmosphere. The 2700 K colour temperature is warm enough for bedrooms, drawing rooms and dining spaces while remaining suitable for general domestic use.

At full output, each 8 W bulb produces approximately 800 lumens, providing substantially more usable light than many purely decorative vintage-style lamps. The 2700 K colour temperature remains warm and residential, while the amber glass adds a deeper golden cast that flatters timber, aged brass, leather, plaster and darker painted finishes.

When connected to a compatible LED dimmer, the output can be lowered for evening dining, bedside use or atmospheric accent lighting. Dimming performance depends on the compatibility of the bulb, dimmer and fitting, so an LED-rated trailing-edge dimmer is recommended for the smoothest operation.

Styling & pairings

In a clear-glass pendant, the elongated filament and amber envelope become part of the fitting rather than disappearing inside it. Pair the bulbs with aged brass, bronze, blackened steel or antique nickel lampholders for an industrial register, or use them within clear ribbed glass for a softer, more decorative interpretation.
